Show listing numbers on home page search drop down

Hi,

Is it possible to show the number of listings on a make on the home page search drop down box? Like on the Flynax Auto Flatty home page under "New"> Make/Model>AMC, I understand that there is a content box that shows the number of listings on the home page Make/model but I would also like to show this on the home page drop down. If you use the drop down box you are not sure if there is listings under the make until you click and search.

Is it possible in the search form categories where it shows "0" in the counter to not show this make/model at all, but to have the make/model show up in the "add a listing" categaries. Once there has been a listing added in the add a listing section then it would show up in the search forms. The reason is that there is almost an endless list of makes/models of boats. Which is ok to list it in the "add a listing" section once someone decides to list a make, but to show the whole list in the search forms would be incredibly long with a number of the makes showing a "0" on the counter.
