Hi John,
Yes, it will be beneficial for the following reasons:
• SEO – You can insert a full phrase for which you want to rank well;
• (UX) User Experience – you can describe your category better that ONE word. This is good, when you have some users landing to your page from Google, rather than from category page.
In this case, it will be much better to say “Siamese Cats for Sale in New York” in H1, rather than just “Siamese” as specified the name of category.
