SassCompiler Plugin is designed to help you compile Sass styles into CSS more easily and make sure you do not lose the changes made to your templates. Once installed, the compilation process will be hassle-free and automatic requiring no more than a single click.
Why you need it
Following the latest trends in design, we started using Sass pre-processor and styles when creating templates. Using Sass in the creation of templates gives you a range of benefits and dramatically enhances the template structure. Since current browsers do not support Sass, you need to compile Sass styles into CSS so that you may keep all the changes you’ve made in your template.
There are several ways of compiling, but perhaps the easiest one and better suited to users with no programming skills is our SassCompiler Plugin which does all the work for you at the click of a button.
How it works
Once you have installed the SassCompiler Plugin, a Compile CSS button is added to the refresh section of the admin panel. After that, you may proceed with editing a particular .scss file or several files. When you are done with the editing, the only thing you need to do is to click the Compile CSS button and the CSS files will be compiled automatically and applied to your site.
Please note that if you made prior template changes directly in .css files, they will be erased when you compile the styles with the Plugin. When you begin to use Sass, you need to make modifications in .scss extension files according to the instructions listed in our Sass Guide.
