Remote Ads

The Plugin will allow you or your site users to display their listings on other remote sites, blogs and forums. Remote ads plugin is primarily designed to expand a reach for your site and generate more leads to your listings.

How it works

The remote ads plugin generates an HTML/JavaScript code on the go with all the settings and configurations that you have applied to it in back end. More so, when configuring the widget in the admin panel, you get a live preview option, which shows you how the final box will look like.

After configuring all widget settings, you or your site members may embed the code in third-party websites and advertise their goods and services on any of the partner sites. For instance, if you own a blog or a forum or know other third party resources allowing for a code placement, you may easily use the plugin to reach a wider audience and drive more traffic to your classifieds site.

With the remote ads plugin, your ads will be featured on a number of other sites and when users click on any ad in a box, they will navigate to your Flynax powered site for more information on a listing.

Back End

The plugin offers extended functionality that can be configured from the manager in back end. Let us go over the settings in more detail.

The first setting allows you to select a specific category, for instance, "Auto Parts", meaning that only ads under this category will be added to the box. If you choose to ignore this setting when creating a box, all ads from the available categories will be used to populate it with listings. The box may also be configured to display featured, recently added or any other types of listings.

Let us go over other settings in a manager in more detail.

Box View

An essential setting that we have added with latest plugin update; it allows you to configure the box view and display the ads as a list or grid. This way, based on your website design you may either place a box in the sidebar or display it as a grid. When displayed as a grid, the widget looks like your website’s content.

Ads in a box

This setting allows you to specify the number of ads, which will be placed in a box. It may depend on the website and its free space, for websites with limited amount of space; you may place 2 or 3 ads in a box.

Ads on page

Even with limited amount of space, you may add a paging option to the widget and place a large number of ads in a box, which a user will be able to view by clicking on page numbers. The ads refresh in a box on a click without reloading your entire website page.

The widget manager offers quite a few settings for configuring its look so that you may adjust it to fit any website design and feel like it is part of the content. You may start by setting the width and height of the box in pixels to make sure that it will fit the website where you are planning to place it.

Ad border color

You may set the background color of an ad box and make it stand out in the box.

Border radius

This is a useful setting that allows you to add rounded corners to the box, you may specify it in pixels and get the desired radius by playing with this setting.

Image background color

You can set the background color of an image.

Ad Title color

This setting allows you to set the color of an ad title and make it stand out from other text in the ad.

Field value color

Every ad has fields, for auto, the fields may represent its condition, year of make, etc. You may also set the field color via the plugin manager.

Price value color

If you want to highlight the ad price in a different color, you may also do it in the plugin manager.

Disable/enable field names

You may disable field names in the box, and in this case, it will only display the ad information without the respective field names.

After configuring and styling the box, you get a JavaScript code, which you may embed in third-party sites and portals. As mentioned above, you may either use the plugin for yourself or allow your site members to benefit from using the plugin. To give your site members access to the plugin, you’ll need to manage the option in the account type manager in back end. When users have access to the plugin, they will have a builder with the same settings in their user account menu.

Other options

You may add the remote ads service in one of the plans and charge users for the ability to display their listings on third-party websites. Since dealers and sellers are interested in featuring their listings on as many sites as possible, this may be a sure way of adding extra monetization options to your classifieds site.

Hello Pete, all listed settings available by default, it looks like your plugin copy doesn't work properly if you can't see them.
I suggest submitting a ticket to our technical department.
