Classified Ads Themes

If you want to start a classifieds site, you are most probably looking for a classified theme for your business idea. In this article, we will discuss the concept of a classified theme and see what it actually is.

What is a classified theme?

Regular users tend to perceive a classified theme as a turnkey solution that may be used right from the box. However, this is not so because a theme is merely a skin for your website or User Interface. The theme, be it classifieds or not, is always powered by a script that provides the functionality for the website.

When a theme is created, it is normally intended for a particular script that will breathe life into it by providing it its functionality. In other words, when you search for a WordPress classified theme, you realize that it will be powered by WordPress whereas Flynax themes work best with Flynax Classifieds software.

Below you may find some of the themes we offer with our script:

Can I modify Flynax themes?

All of the functionality in our themes is attached to a backend from where you can manage various settings and options. We have both pdf guides/video tutorials highlighting the configuration options.

All of our themes are highly flexible and built with a box model in mind, that is, the components are made up of boxes that you fill with specific content: ads, plugin widgets, banners, etc. You may re-arrange and change position of boxes right from admin panel. You may as well experiment with any of our themes and switch between them right from admin panel until you finally decide which one suits your site best.

If you know basic HTML/CSS, you may go even further in customization, that is, change the colors of any theme, adjust its look and make it unique without spending a cent on customizations. Experienced users and webmasters may customize the theme even further: integrate new modules, plugins, payment gateways, etc.

Niche driven approach

Each of our classified themes was developed with insight into its niche. For instance, auto classifieds features a box with beautifully designed vector-based body style icons allowing users to click on any of it and navigate to a separate page containing cars of a specific body style.

The real estate theme offers a full-width map that takes the entire screen of the user. The map is not just an image, but a fully-functional map that loads all available properties in the vicinity of a user’s location as soon as he lands on a theme. All of the properties are shown on maps as circles where all ads are grouped together, the user may zoom in on a specific location, locate the ad of interest and proceed right to it by clicking on a circle. The UI/UX of any theme has been developed according to the classifieds type it represents.

Payment Gateways

We have integrated different payment gateways into our classified themes to make sure that you will find the one that works best for your location. The payment gateways support almost every continent, from Asia to Africa, From Europe to the United States; you may even accept payments in Bitcoin or a range of Altcoins with our CoinGate plugin.

Monetization Options

The most basic way to monetize your website is by placing Google ads/banners. Our classified themes support Google ads and allow you to add a banner in the header area or below the header depending on the template. The banner ads do not necessarily need to be from Google, and you may advertise third-party sites willing to be featured on your portal.

You may also place banners in grids of ads by choosing to insert a banner after a certain number of listings. For instance, after each fifth listing.

Aside from banners, you may monetize our classified themes by charging users for different services on your website, such as listing highlight or bumpup. Here are some of the options that you may make premium and charge your users for them:

  • Make posting ads a paid option;
  • Offer users a premium option of featuring their ad or bumping it to top;
  • Sell packages/membership plans with various options within them;
  • Allow users to display their ads on remote websites;
  • A handful of other ways/options

Live messaging

Our themes support live messaging between users. A buyer may contact a seller by writing him a private message and a seller may respond and continue all communication in our messaging system. All of the messages are stored in a user’s profile with the ability to go back, re-read them and be certain that they will always be at a user’s fingertips.
